About
I make action games, mostly melee combat and the encounters built around it. The thing I care most about is readability. A player should be able to see what an enemy is about to do, understand why a fight went the way it did, and have a clear idea of what to try next. Difficulty is worth a lot more when it is honest.
Over a decade of working with students to bring their game ideas to life, from a first prototype to something someone else can pick up and play.
I write game development curriculum built on projects with flexible learning pathways, so students who start in different places still get to the same outcome.
Physics degree and a correlate in math from Vassar.
I have been running D&D games for about ten years, so if we end up talking, I'd love to hear about your character.
